golf swing Significant Guideline
I have purchased many alignment aids, and this is the best one I’ve found. What makes it the best is that it is easy to carry and use, and the Amazon price is lower than any of the large volume golf merchandisers.
I carry the alignment tool in my golf bag; it’s easy to put it in and take it out of the bag when I get to the practice range. This device can be used for practice of both the short and full-swing game.
Some “critics” ask me why I use this aid rather than just laying down my own clubs, and I reply that it helps me not only with my alignment but also with ball placement in my setup (I place the ball directly parallel with the black “hub” of the device and about 8 inches away from it). Also, I can use the device during sand trap practice without putting my clubs in the sand.
I have used this device for nearly a year and consider it one of the best buy training devices on the market. I trust that you will too.

The IZZO Golf Swing and Grip Trainer is a great little tool for practicing your swing. It has the proper golf grip molded into the handle and removable weights to adjust the heaviness. It’s also short enough so you can swing it indoors without worrying about breaking the TV or lights.
I have used the trainer every night for 5 – 10 minutes over the past few weeks. I have seen a noticeable difference in the quality and distance of my shots. I am hitting straighter and longer shots than before. Recently, I was hitting over 150 yards with my 7-iron, which is a milestone for me.
If you love golf and want to improve your swing, get this tool. It’s well worth the money and the satisfaction from seeing yourself improve.
The IZZO swing/grip trainer has worked wonders for my swing and grip. The grip form helps train your arm to keep the face of the club straight. It also helps to build muscle where you need it for a more powerful golf swing.
The product is fine.
After first getting the wrong product, I finally got the right trainer two weeks later.
My only complaint was a lack of communication from the company.
The did their job but did not follow up with emails confirming the problem and resolution.
Our golf pro recommended this and it REALLY works! No more “chicken wing”.
I have only had a couple of opportunities to use the strap. I am sure it will be a help, as I had a similar product many years ago. It is simple but effective in getting the arms to work together (as they should).
I have read other reviews where people have said this straighted out their swing however, I did not like it. I am sure it works for some people but it just feels too odd for my taste. I am thinking about selling mine, brand new, only used once. It just wasn’t for me. I would rather keep buying range time.
This is the first review I have ever given a golf product. My swing was slowly self destructing this year. I developed a fade that was getting worse and worse. After realizing that it was not the clubs, I tried a couple different training aids. Finally, I saw the reviews on the swingyde. I ordered it and tried it. At first, it was not correcting my swing and then I realized that I was not following the directions.
After watching the DVD and reading the instructions again, I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. Shortly after, I was swinging perfectly.
In a nutshell, this device puts you in a great position on the takeaway and then also puts you in a perfect position at the finish. For those of us who have trouble “releasing the club”, this is the answer. After 20 minutes, my muscles started memorizing the swing path. I have now been using it daily for 20 minutes a night inside (which is very relaxing after the kids go to bed). This swingyde is the real deal and I am telling my family and friends about it.
I had a question and emailed the creator of the swingyde in Australia and he emailed me back the same day. He is a great guy and very helpful. I can’t recommend it enough!
My swing had deteriorated to the point I did not want to play. So I bought this product and a couple very good instruction manuals as well as a cheap hitting mat and some wiffle balls. The good news is that I am going to start playing again next week and I think my swing will be better than it ever was eventually.
While I do not think that the Swingyde itself solved my problems it was one of many building blocks in helping me understand and gain a feeling for a proper swing. For the price it is a good tool to have and one I will use occasionally for checking proper wrist hinge.
This little plastic piece is very helpful. I have been hitting better shots that are straighter & sometimes i suprise myself with a draw. I think that it’s worth the investment if you are serious about playing better golf.
First, I will admit that the price is outrageous for this simple little piece of plastic (and the included DVD, which you can watch in advance on YouTube), but I tell you what, this thing absolutely does what it claims to do! After just a couple of practice sessions (swinging in the back yard), not only am I swinging on plane, but I am able to detect other swing flaws (like cranking my hips too early which opens the club face). Over a short period of time, I feel like I am naturally “in the groove” when I swing, and I am thinking less about all of the mechanics. This thing definitely helps to create muscle memory and the natural (and correct) feel for the golf swing. On my first golf outing after working 10 minutes for 5 consecutive nights with the Swingyde, I played the best golf I have ever played. My club face was square and I connected with the ball better than I ever have. (I generally shoot in the 110 range and on this last round, I scored 98). If you are handy with tools, you may be able to rig up something like this product, but for the rest of us, spend the $25 and get “on plane”. If the rating scale went to 10, I would rate this product a 10.
Don’t be fooled by the positive posts, I am convinced they are bogus.
This is just a cheaply made toy at adult prices.
When I saw that most of the critical parts, the ones that bear the brunt of the force were made of plastic, I told my wife “this isn’t going to last long.”
In the very place I had concerns is where mine broke. A simple metal pin, instead of a plastic one would have made all the difference.
I also just noticed in these “customer reviews” that right after someone posts a negative review, a positive albeit anonymous review is posted. That always makes me wonder.
This thing broke during the first use. Even when it did work, it would move when the ball was hit. This thing was so cheap, I knew I should have just returned it when I opened the box (I almost did). Please trust that you will not be happy with this.
Need I say more? The ball flew off with the plastic connector and wound up in the neighbor’s yard. Thankfully no one was hurt.
i just got this thing and hit it about 10 time and the pengulum broke and can not find parts. if I knew that the striking zone was plastic i whould of not got it…
If you have a perfect swing, then this product may stand up to “seasons of use, but if not, here are a few problems:
- You have to choke up on your club because you are hitting off a raised platform. This is not a good idea when you’re working on your swing.
- The hitting surface is small and fairly lightweight, it often moves after you hit the ball.
- The hitting surface is made out of fiberboard (pressed paper-like layers of wood). After many many swings, not all of them perfect, the bracket supporting the swinging ball has begun to rip off the hitting platform.
I realy like it. Good for begginers. The ball damaged within a month, I do not know if I can replace it. Used with long irons and woods to fix my swing and to practice keeping my eys in the ball.
3 of 5
The concept of this aparatus is very good, in fact it did help me improve my driving consistency from 40% to 85% (I was a huge slicer now I’m an average fader when miss hits), but it has the following faults regarding quality and construction:
1.The base is really light and when you hit the ball fairly hard, it bounces a lot and you have to keep realigning the damn thing.
2.The metal bracket to which the ball and string are attached to, loosens frequently, you have to tighten the bolts every 10-15 swings if you don’t want the axis of the bracket to disalign.
3. It says you can use it indoors, ok try to practice after 7 pm in the garage or the patio without your neighbors calling, or the dogs barking.
4. It says you can use with the irons. Yes if you would like the thing to last no more than 30 swings!! if you’re a novice like me, you will often hit the ground and will deteriorate the base. I’d reccomend to use only with the woods.
CONCLUSION:
I will not throw away my swing groover, I will upgrade it to make my money’s worth, but I wouldn’t reccomend to buy this product unless you’re a handyman that can fix the damn thing.
HELPS YOU TO GROVE A SWING USING A WOOD; NOT USEFUL WITH IRONS, BECAUSE THEY DIG INTO THE ARTIFICIAL TURF.
