I was very excited to buy this after much research on line. I wasn’t sure about using it with a MAC because I had read somewhere that they didn’t work with Apple programing. A phone call to the manufacturer was never returned, but finally on their website I found MAC downloads, so I bought this. (MY fault for not waiting, yes, but it was to be a birthday gift and I was running out of time if I was going to buy on-line) It came very fast and well packaged, so I am very please with the vendor, just not the manufacturer. The company, however did e-mail me back (of course..AFTER I bought one!!) and unfortunately and unbelievably …… it does not work with MACS. No body needs a$350 piece of useless plastic!!!

Review for golf trolleys
We sent it back because it isn’t compatible with the MAC system. I wish it had been more obvious from the description before we purchased it. We also weren’t satisfied that the courses we normally play weren’t even on it.
I originally bought the Sureshot over the equivalent Skycaddie model because the yearly fee’s were much more reasonable. My unit has lasted more than two years and the battery shows no signs of performance loss. I usually go two or three rounds without a recharge. The unit is very accurate, and courses are easily user mapped if they haven’t been professionally mapped by Sureshot. This is the only golf gadget I’ve purchased that hasn’t been a waste of money. I still use my Sureshot for every round I play.
Sureshot GPS Golf System
Set up and registration of thr product was easy, from there on there are some problems. The mapping function does not work as explained in the manual. While I was able to figure out a way to map a course it is slightly more time consuming than the manual would have you believe. It was very difficult to get a response from tech service
and thier follow-up has been spotty at best.
In summary, the gps seems to work well enough and the accuracy appears good. Service has a long way to go and will eventually damage the product.

If its not in the system good luck. I have requested online and via email for a course to be added for over a month. I tried to map it myself but you have to stand for 10 seconds on the front, middle and back of the green plus anything else you want mapped. Its impossible during an actual game. I highly recommend to check the list first. If its not listed you might never get it added. My cousin bought another GPS system and requested the same course and it was available for download in less than a week.
The scoring system is a bit strange. I have yet to find it accurate in my GIR’s and Fairways hit for some reason. I am not sure if that is operator error or something else.
The worst news is I used it 5 times in a little over a month and it was stolen from my cart during a bathroom break. Do not leave it out around a clubhouse.
I bought this unit because I am a Mac user and when shopping for a GPS this was the only one that touted itself as “Mac compatable.” After trying to download the proper software I discovered it wouldn’t work because I don’t have a Intel-based Mac that will run Parallels Desktop. “…Parallels Desktop allows a user to run a Virtual machine (Guest OS) inside a windowed environment but is only supported under Windows XP…” This is COMPATABLE? Let’s talk about available courses. I live in Oregon and SureShot lists a total of 78 courses in Oregon available for download. SkyCaddie lists about 175 Oregon courses and GolfLogix has well over 200. If I could do it all over again, I would buy one of these units which are roughly the same price.
I would not recommend the GolfLogix device. Not only is it plagued by short battery life as others have said. My unit Freezes up every few rounds and none of the buttons will respond including off. I must open the back and remove the batteries to shut it down. When I replace the batteries and turn it back on it remains frozen. The only way to get it to work again is to hook it up to my computer and reprogram all of the courses. This usually lasts a few rounds but today it froze 8 holes after reprogramming. It also will lose a hole now and then. You play the same course every day and suddenly hole 10 is missing. The same reprogramming fix must be done. The technical support is a joke. They could care less what your problem is.
The Golf Logix GPS is a great product to help lower your score by giving you accurate yardage from your last drive or fairway shot. Additionally, yardage to hazards and greens even if your one fairway away like my golf partner. It is more reasonably priced through AMAZON than other GPS systems available on the market. The great part is you can download 20 courses throughout the world not just the ten from other GPS companies that charge a yearly membership of $39.95. Golf Logix only charges the low yearly membership fee of $29.95.

Any one who wants to improve golf should get this- When you play a new course, it really helps to know where the hazards are. Used it for vacation- Good batteries lasted almost 6 courses. Love it!!
I spent considerable time reviewing all the available GPS units out on the market. Granted, the old saying that you get what you pay for, applies here also. The devices in the $4-500 dollar range were full of extras but I was looking for something that would fit my budget and suit my needs. Without question, the Golflogix does just that. One of the big factors in my decision to buy this unit was my far sightedness. I just didn’t want to wear my glasses to read the numbers that were very small on a number of the other devices. Golflogix’s big number display is perfect. No glasses needed as the numbers are large enough to read without problem. I have used it on about 8 courses so far and the yardage is right on compared to the courses that have cart GPS. It’s simple and gives you the yardage to the hazards and to the green without doing anything, gives me more time to try to hit the ball straight! The only complaint I have so far is the belt clip broke after just two rounds. I ordered a couple of new ones so I will see how they work. The first of batteries lasted about 3 rounds but I recently purchased re-chargables so that won’t be a problem. I would recommend the Golflogix to anyone who wants a simple, easy to use GPS that has a very affordable price.
I’m very happy so far with my new gps by Golflogixs. It’s easy to use and was way more affordable than a skycaddie. Take’s 2 AA batteries and you can golf several rounds before replacing them. Just keep a spare set in your bag and their easy to replace right on the course! It’s not fancy like the skycaddie, but everyone I know that has the skycaddie doesn’t even use all of its features because it’s too complicated to learn how, especially during a round of golf when you want to keep play moving. My golflogixs is always within one to two yards of the skycaddie readings, too.
This is replacement for one lost.igolf bought by Bushnell, they changed unit slightly. Is small and gives most basic info.Is legal to use for tournament golf. Easy enough to download courses, though must be very specific when searching for course in library.Doesn’t always want to stay on your belt, (hence replacement). For money gets job done.
Well, I purchased this for my 10th wedding anniversary. I read all the reviews and thought i would take a chance. I mean, what else can a golfer possibly need? I couldn’t think of anything else. I am so happy that i made this purchase. Once we got thru winter and cold spring, he has finally got it out to use. It was a simple procedure to subscribe to the course downloads. It is a one time fee because you basically don’t need anymore than 100 or so courses. (He doesn’t). Once it downloaded, off he went. He loves his gold gps! he says that it is very accurate. So I scored on this purchase. one thing to mention that I had read about in the reviews was about the little clip holder. His opinion was that it was just ok and that it did fall off once or twice during his game. So, if they can fix that problem all will be good to go. Overall – extremely satisfied with the iGolf neo GPS
This is a great product. I have had great success with this item in my golf game. I have friends who have the more expensive Skycaddie and other golf GPS items, and they are always having problems with reception. I always have reception and i usually have to give them the distance to the hole. For the price this is a great item
i could not be happier. down loading courses is a snap. getting them to your device is a click away. one time fee will give most users all the courses they will ever need. you can transfer courses on and off your device in a couple of clicks. the display is very clear even in bright sunlight. i live in new mexico so we have a lot of those days. at [...] bucks it is like stealing. my buddies have ones they paid close to [...] dollars for and theirs do have color, ooohh. the battery last for 4 rounds and still has power left. i also like the one time fee of [...] bucks. you can dnload all the courses you think you might ever play to your computer, you get 100 choices, and then transfer them to your device as you need them. it really is easy. i would not hesitate to recommend this to all my golf buds
I was looking for a Golf GPS I was using my IPhone with a free golf GPS Application and it was exactly that free. I looked and read the reviews on the NEO and decided since it was only $100+ why not, but I’m here to tell you that it works it really works. I have downloaded several courses into it and I have checked it with the course markers and it is right on the money. Some of the reviews mentioned that the belt clip is not secure and I will agree with that, but since I like to walk and play golf if it fell out I would notice it but I also touch it every so often to make sure it’s still there. I would recommend this item to anyone who wants a starter GPS it want let you down well it has not let me down. Thanks
I really like the uPro GPS unit, the only problem I have with it is the fact that several of the course that I play aren’t available for use with the Pro Mode. This makes the unit useless until the courses are available. This is the other problem, there is no way of knowing when your course will be available. I have been waiting for over 2 months now and my courses are still pending. Maybe next year this will be resolved, but until then, the Upro sits unused.
