This book was not what I expected. My book has 81 pages, not 92 and the font size is huge making the book effectively about 40 pages. I feel the book has numerous redundant points that are unnecessary. For example, an entire chapter [3] states the correct position of the hands at impact with the ball. The same points were made over four times in the one chapter. Regarding the style of writing in general, it appears to be somewhat simplified English. Perhaps it’s directed toward the average grandparent but I think it’s simplified too much. Before I purchased the book, I thought it would contain images of real swings but the book contains hand drawn illustrations and they aren’t slow motion, they are still illustrations. Chapter 4 contains useful information under the title of “Secret Distance Formulas of the Effortless Swing” which I can’t share with you here or I’ll spoil the book’s secondary purpose (the first being the necessity for an inside-out or inside-out-square swing). I think the “formulas” can be written in one Golf Digest magazine side bar.
So, overall it makes for fast reading but it might not be what you expect. I highly recommend the book by Michael Breed and Greg Midland which is titled: “The Picture-Perfect Golf Swing.” The authors used real photographic images.

Review for golf trolleys
I have read other reviews where people have said this straighted out their swing however, I did not like it. I am sure it works for some people but it just feels too odd for my taste. I am thinking about selling mine, brand new, only used once. It just wasn’t for me. I would rather keep buying range time.
This is the first review I have ever given a golf product. My swing was slowly self destructing this year. I developed a fade that was getting worse and worse. After realizing that it was not the clubs, I tried a couple different training aids. Finally, I saw the reviews on the swingyde. I ordered it and tried it. At first, it was not correcting my swing and then I realized that I was not following the directions.
After watching the DVD and reading the instructions again, I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. Shortly after, I was swinging perfectly.
In a nutshell, this device puts you in a great position on the takeaway and then also puts you in a perfect position at the finish. For those of us who have trouble “releasing the club”, this is the answer. After 20 minutes, my muscles started memorizing the swing path. I have now been using it daily for 20 minutes a night inside (which is very relaxing after the kids go to bed). This swingyde is the real deal and I am telling my family and friends about it.
I had a question and emailed the creator of the swingyde in Australia and he emailed me back the same day. He is a great guy and very helpful. I can’t recommend it enough!
First, I will admit that the price is outrageous for this simple little piece of plastic (and the included DVD, which you can watch in advance on YouTube), but I tell you what, this thing absolutely does what it claims to do! After just a couple of practice sessions (swinging in the back yard), not only am I swinging on plane, but I am able to detect other swing flaws (like cranking my hips too early which opens the club face). Over a short period of time, I feel like I am naturally “in the groove” when I swing, and I am thinking less about all of the mechanics. This thing definitely helps to create muscle memory and the natural (and correct) feel for the golf swing. On my first golf outing after working 10 minutes for 5 consecutive nights with the Swingyde, I played the best golf I have ever played. My club face was square and I connected with the ball better than I ever have. (I generally shoot in the 110 range and on this last round, I scored 98). If you are handy with tools, you may be able to rig up something like this product, but for the rest of us, spend the $25 and get “on plane”. If the rating scale went to 10, I would rate this product a 10.
This little plastic piece is very helpful. I have been hitting better shots that are straighter & sometimes i suprise myself with a draw. I think that it’s worth the investment if you are serious about playing better golf.
My swing had deteriorated to the point I did not want to play. So I bought this product and a couple very good instruction manuals as well as a cheap hitting mat and some wiffle balls. The good news is that I am going to start playing again next week and I think my swing will be better than it ever was eventually.
While I do not think that the Swingyde itself solved my problems it was one of many building blocks in helping me understand and gain a feeling for a proper swing. For the price it is a good tool to have and one I will use occasionally for checking proper wrist hinge.
This book offers one good tip discussed in a fairly effective manner.
The rest of the book is useless…a waste of time.
The book is short and to the point. It has some golf swing illustrations and swing mechanics descriptions that have helped me to better understand some swing concepts that I have somehow missed in other instructions.
The book is well worth the small investment.
This book sucks, period. The book title and cover are misleading. They appear to promise that there will be, at least some slow motion pictures of golf swing sequences. What you get is really poor amateurish writing and a few crude line drawings to demonstrate the flawed principles and swing concepts offered as instruction by the author. NO ONE who takes a look inside this book would ever buy it. I read a lot of all kinds of material and am, seemingly, addicted to golf instruction books and articles. Bar none, this book is absolutely the worst book of any kind that I have ever read. Perhaps a few more chimps and typewriters…
No need to make more remarks then stated already in the title. No pictures in the book, just a few drawings.

I was chosen as one of the top golf instructors of the nineties in L.A. and Palm Springs and many of Ms. Lupo’s techniques are similar to what I taught. I particularly liked the drawings by her husband. A couple of her swing ideas are a little off the mark but most are accurate and very good.
I was a Physiology Teaching Fellow in a university and an avid golfer since the time I was about 12 years old. Since that time, I have read many books on golf and the mechanics of the golf swing. In general, I’ve been frustrated by poor and incomplete descriptions in the past. This is because I think most great golfers don’t have the ability to articulate what the actually are doing when they are making a swing. Their knowledge is embodies and underneath awareness. This book is unique in that it provides that missing information and presents it in a logical, clear and comprehensive manner including all the important details.
In addition, this book is not so technical that it is unreadable by the average person. All of the concepts, even the more suble or complex are presented in a straightforward and concise manner. I believe this is a monumental achievement and a valuable contribution to the golf literature.
This text will help you to understand EVERY aspect of a good golf swing, why it’s important, what can go wrong and how to make corrections. There is not a single aspect of the swing or any element to it that is left out from feet placement, movement around various joints, etc. It also teaches you how to feel these things in your body and raised your awareness of how different things going wrong feels.
In my opinion, this book should be on every golfer’s shelf…. amateur and professional alike. It is a rare gem and one that will help you to improve your game. While it won’t take the place of golf lessons by an excellent teacher, it will help you to digest what your pro is trying to tell you and give you the concepts you need to make improvements on your own.
I have read mucho golf books and this one is great for telling you how to perform fundermentals rather than just identifying what is a geat swing method. I have been working with this book for a month and my swing is getting better, better, and better. Also consistancy is taking hold. The illustrations are 1st class…… I am an 8 handicap and dropping….
Redog
have read this book three times, and each time my i have picked up a better understanding of the physical requirements of a good golf swing. while there are 15 steps to a better swing, most of them are done before you start the club back. in the end the author emphasises that you cannot use concious thoughts once you start the backswing. concious thoughts will interfere with a good swing. this book provides understanding, and with understanding comes concentration and a lower score.
